Everyday Blessings is an organization that serves foster children who have been removed from their homes due to neglect, abuse, or abandonment. They have two locations one in Hillsborough County and one in Sarasota County. The “campus” in Hillsborough County currently serves 28 children. The purpose of Everyday Blessings is to provide opportunity for siblings to remain together so they can maintain their bond and support one another during such an unsettling time. Live-in, 24/7 caregivers provide ongoing emotional and social support, transportation and child advocacy. Agency support staff provides counseling, medical oversight, crisis intervention, case management, tutoring and developmental daycare.
In June one of the two vans the organization counts on to shuttle their children to and from doctor’s appointments, visitation meetings, summer camps, etc. broke down and was beyond repair. Everyday Blessings came to the Broadrick Family Foundation asking for a donation in order to buy another van. One van simply was not enough to shuttle 28 children to all of the activities they needed to attend. Fortunately with the generous support of our donors we were able to buy the agency its very first brand new van! Thank you to Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel for all of your help!
